INSPIRO Watermelon-Basil Smash
RECIPE: Serves 2
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 oz. INSPIRO Tequila
- 2 whole limes, juiced
- 1 cup fresh cubed watermelon
- 1 bunch fresh basil (chopped)
- 1 tsp. organic agave (optional)
- Mint
- Coarse salt
- Ice
DIRECTIONS:
- Take two glasses and a small flat dish of coarse salt. Rub a lime wedge around the glass rims to moisten. Dip glasses into the salt dish and turn until the rims are covered.
- Next, muddle cubed watermelon and freshly chopped basil at the bottom of a cocktail shaker. If you don’t have a muddler, you can easily use a wooden spoon. Another alternative is to toss these two ingredients into the food processor and blend.
- Once you achieve a great muddle consistency (liquid, not too chunky), add the tequila, lime juice, and agave into the shaker. Add ice to the shaker and fill to the top.
- Shake really, really well. Count to 100, this is a good arm workout.
- All of the ingredients will blend and liquefy together.
- Pour mixture over iced glasses.
- Garnish with a mint leaf and lime wedge.
